Wash your cashmere cagoule in lukewarm water using a specialist mild detergent. Then squeeze the suds gently through the fabric and do not rub, wring or stretch the fabric in any way. Rinse carefully in clean lukewarm water (more than once) until all the detergent has been removed and the water runs clear.
Do not leave your cashmere wet, dry it as soon as possible. Squeeze out any excess water before lifting a wet cashmere garment (or you can use a slow spin cycle on the machine).
Smooth your cashmere gently back into its original shape. Place it flat on a towel and allow it to dry naturally. Avoid any direct heat such as radiators or strong sunlight.
Your balaclava can also be washed using the handwash, delicates or woollens cycle on your washing machine. Never wash it at more than 40 degrees, and ideally less. When washing your balaclava in a machine ensure you use a specialist cashmere or baby shampoo.
When your cashmere garment is dry you may press it lightly with a cool iron to remove any slight creases.
